St. Ann Chapel has a very active chapter of the national Anglican Church Women (ACW) of the Anglican Province of Christ the King.  The ACW supports the needy through charitable works and also works to encourage spiritual growth  in the parish and in the community.

Parish Cookbook: Feeding Body and Soul: The ACW has completed work on the parish cookbook project, and it is now available! This cookbook will be the first for St. Ann Chapel, and we look forward to sharing it with all our sister churches throughout the diocese. The cookbook will also be available for sale at the 2018 Synod. The book is a compilation of favorite recipes from parishioners, family, and friends. The cookbook also includes special Bible verses to accompany each of the recipes. For 20 dollars, this prize of the ACW can be yours! Our best bits that we have served and enjoyed! Get yours today!

First Annual Planning ACW Planning Retreat: June 2017: The Anglican Church Women of St. Ann Chapel Anglican Church had its first annual planning retreat on June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM. This event was open to all the women in the parish. During the retreat, the group reached consensus about the two key roles of the ACW: support of the spiritual development of the ACW members, parishioners, and others receiving help through charitable outreach; and Christian service as evident in meaningful and effective charitable endeavors.  For more information about the retreat, click on this link: ACW Retreat 2017

St. Peter’s Secondary School: The ACW continues to support the work of St. Peter’s Secondary School, which the Anglican Diocese of Tabora in Tanzania runs. Bishop Elias Chakupewa and the Diocese are committed to providing education for young women, which they see as a key factor in reducing poverty and improving the health, well-being, and stability of families. Unfortunately, one of the biggest challenges in educating young women in this region is the long distances that they have to travel in order to go to school. Sexual violence against women and girls in Tanzania is a genuine risk when they must live in unsafe housing while attending school. To help address this problem, the Diocese is building a dormitory that will not only provide girls with a safe and chaperoned environment but also provide Christian education and other opportunities for their spiritual development.
