Remember St Ann Chapel in your Bequest and Gift Planning
Although our church building as been here since 1954, our parish of St Ann Chapel is relatively new. We are now in our 15th year. Like most new parishes we have no general endowment fund. Such funds and bequests, made over generations, provide financial security, a source of funds for expansion and the inevitable rainy day. Our day to day operations are supported by faithful pledging and other donations. There is no backup fund.
In our first decade the parishioners made two important fund drives. The first occurrednin 2010, when nearly $80 thousand was raised for the replacement of the church organ. Shortly thereafter, funds were raised for the addition of our parish hall. These two successful efforts demonstrates the love, hope, and expectancy of our parishioners regarding the future of our parish.
How can I help, one might ask? Here is a golden opportunity. The recently passed legislation of Tax Reform dramatically affects estate and gift planning to the upside. Now is the time for all of us to revisit any earlier estate or gift planning. In so doing we can make a serious and purposeful difference in the life of our parish. The next generation will be glad we did plan to make gifts.
